If your project has more than 150,000 products, you will likely encounter some difficulties because Google Merchant Center has its own product quantity quotas.
For reference:
Merchant Center has a default product limit of 150,000. That seems like a lot, but in reality, it's not so much.
If your site has two language versions, then your website can only have a maximum of 75,000 products per version. For multi-brand online stores, this is not a lot at all.
Once the quota is reached, new products will not be added to Merchant Center unless you receive a quota extension.
To increase the product quota in Merchant Center, you need to:
☝ Submit a special request form, where you need to outline your online store development plans and the desired quota size.
They may not approve it the first time, so you can try submitting the form periodically.
Regarding the quota size - in our experience, we've had projects where we managed to increase the limit to 750,000 products.
