A new platform for quickly launching a turnkey online store - “Shop Express”, an analogue and competitor of “Cartum” and “Prom.ua”. The guys contacted us several times about cooperation - there was no time to discuss. And recently our client came with a project on this platform. We figured it out from “A” to “Z”, having studied all the possibilities of this website builder. And now we’ve prepared this short article, based on our experience and taking into account the possibility of launching Google Shopping. So, let's go.
In our part, first of all we are interested in the implementation of tags for launching Google Shopping, namely:
👉 Google Tag Manager;
👉 Google Analytics 4;
👉 Google Analytics 4 Events;
👉 Google Ads Events;
👉 Merchant Center Feeds.
In the CMS settings there is a folder “integrations”, in which you can connect various services by simply specifying the system ID.
Google Tag Manager is connected quite simply: by creating a container, specifying the ID and activating the integration.
Google Analytics 4 is configured in the same way as GTM, with the ability to activate the functions for transmitting e-commerce events (the “purchase” event with “value”).
Google Ads events required for dynamic remarketing and Performance Max are specified automatically.
Feeds for Merchant Center are created using the Google Shopping integration with a few settings, which ultimately results in feed URLs at the bottom of the page.
These are the basic things we need to launch Google Shopping on Shop Express. It is also worth noting that there are several other important features in this system that few have implemented yet. For example:
- Consent mode, which is already a necessity in the European Union;
- ChatGPT for spell checking descriptions (interesting idea, by the way);
- synchronization with placemarkets Rozetka and Prom.ua;
- adding Custom Labels to Merchant Center feeds.
There is much more useful, but what surprised us most was the convenience and simplicity, without many tabs and incomprehensible add-ons. Everything is accessible and easy to configure. That's why this article is short, because the platform is simple and intuitive.
