Probably one of the most anticipated options for owners of online stores promoting in social networks is Instagram Shopping. If earlier we waited for Google Shopping to appear in Ukraine for about 6 years, now we get Instagram shopping options in about the same way. So let's go.
What is Instagram Shopping?
Instagram Shopping - the ability to work with products on Instagram that are loaded from your site via a feed.
This “Instagram Shopping” option is already available in Ukraine, but there has been no official news about it yet.
You may have come across accounts that have a “Shop” or “Store” button in the profile itself.
By clicking on this button we get the entire assortment of the store.
By clicking on a specific product, we get to the product card, where we can view all the photos, price, discount, and of course go to the website to place an order.
Many Instagram users will say - "cool, I want that too", but not everyone will be able to enable this function, due to structural reasons.

➌ Opening an Instagram sales channel in Commerce Manager
After connecting the channels, the moderation process starts. After moderation, in your profile:
- a “shop” button will appear;
- the ability to make tags on a specific product will open;
- get statistics on the use of the Instagram store and draw some conclusions.
After enabling Instagram shopping, you can tag products in posts, as a result of which the posts will look like this:
This option is constantly evolving, so this article may still have additions after some time.
As of 2024 - in most accounts in Ukraine, when registering a trading account in FaceBook Business and adding an Instagram sales channel, the Instagram Shopping function becomes active, although we repeat once again - there is no official information that this option works in Ukraine yet.
